Groups (2K) The best way to get to know people in the Parish is to get involved in something you are interested in. Here are some of the activities you might consider:

Anglican Church Women (ACW) - Monthly meetings encourage fellowship and mission and support the work of the local church.

St John's A.C.W.- contact Marie Black 678-6474
St. Michael's Guild- contact Doris Rogers 678-1925
St Thomas' Willing Hands- contact June Barkhouse 582-3293

Quilting - Weekly gatherings organized by women of the Parish but welcoming members of the wider community make quilts for local hospitals, the Department of Community Services, those in need and to sell for fundraising purposes. Contact - Marion White 542-2491.

Community Outreach - Our Parish has a long history of meeting various community needs. Active participation in the Canning and Area Inter-Church Council has enabled us to broaden our resources and ability to embrace those in need. For example, we support our community foodbank, breakfast for children in an elementary school and many other individual and domestic needs.

Ecumenical fellowship - Members of all the churches in the area worship together during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Good Friday and at a Harvest Hymn Sing. Congregations collaborate to provide lunch each Friday in Lent as a fundraiser for the Emergency Fund. Fellowship in the Parish - A Harvest Dinner, a Pancake Supper, and frequently a Sunday Brunch welcome the wider community.
